The Pennybacker Bridge is also known as the “Capital of Texas Highway” or more commonly known to the locals as the “360 Bridge”. It's a large weathered rust steel bridge over Lake Austin (Austin portion of the mighty Colorado River). An architectural marvel, it was designed and constructed so that no part of the bridge structure has contact with the water below. But the real beauty of the bridge is the natural landscape of the surrounding rolling hills. And there are free parkings conveniently underneath the bridge with a short trail hike up to bridgeview.
